I have been taking photographs since my High School Days 1975. I
started by shooting black and white film and then moved to color.
Developing our own negatives and prints brought a solid foundation to
understanding light, and it's critical roll in photography that still serves me
well today.
I progressed into shooting local bands and concerts for B.A.M (Bay Area
Magazine) in which I was able to practice and hone my low
light, no flash photography.
Although I am new to Sprint Car photography, My parents use
to take me to West Capitol Speedway every Saturday night when I was a youngster
in the mid 1960's. I developed a love and passion for Sprint Car Racing that has
been with me ever since. I remember some of my favorites were Johnny Tiner, Ernie
Purcell and Jimmy Gordon to name a few.
When the opportunity to combine my passion
for photography and Sprint Car Racing came, I jumped at the chance.
I can't thank John and Robbie Padjen enough
for giving me the opportunity to live out a dream, And Tom Parker, John
Meirhofer, Donna Peter, Ed Palmer and others for their help, friendship and
encouragement to pursue this.
